Shiny Coat is not perfect but made a BIG difference to this 08 Toyota. It is a little tricky to apply, so practice on a small area first. Follow the instructions online how to apply at Shiny car stuff.com
PS. I received Shiny Car Stuff 8oz bottle but no 4 FREE Application Towels, maybe they ran out. All in all I'm pleased with the product see photos
Product does not level out as shown in video. Very disappointed in this product & what I spent. Let me explain followed instructions to the T
Washed ,clayed & used grease & wax remover. Product did not smooth out. They claim the hotter out side the better the product will apply. Not true, living in Az it's much hotter its very tricky to wk with. According to their specs if you read they say it's better if you work in a environment where temp is not so aggressive. When I reached out to Company I explained what happened when I did wife's car. They suggested buying a self leveler product 2 to 3 bottles about $200 +. And they said they would come out & do the wk. If I bought other product. I told them it was not necessary . I shouldn't have to pay more for a product that should have worked one time. After about 3 hrs of cure time in a shaded area, 3 cut pads, 5 batteries & a cordless polisher I removed all product from car. What a Job & relief. This is the 2nd time I've used this product & has failed. On third time, car was deoxidized like they show on videos.
Had real high hopes & so did my customer ,when product applied. FAILED BIGG TIME!! AGAIN!! What a 😞 disappointment. I finally threw in the towel with this product. Been detailing for 16yrs never worked with such a figity product. Your better of sticking with Ceramic coatings. Less headaches. Or stick to cut & polishing the old way. The only reason I gave one star it's works real good on headlights. If you want to experiment & have time go for it on this product. All the best to SCS.
As I've unsurscribed to their channel.
NO MAS!! LOL NO MORE.
JUST BEING HONEST
Hi Mario,
Thank you for buying Shiny Car Stuff (SCS), a product we are proud resellers of. To start off, let's make clear that you never contacted our company, but instead you contacted Shiny Car Stuff (SCS).
Also let's make very clear that in none of the videos from SCS or ourselves via our Instagram channel, make claims that SCS will restore damaged paint to 100%, as there are MANY variables that depend on the condition of the damage. SCS very specifically mentions that it will IMPROVE the clear coat by 60-90% depending on the situation. In fact, on one of our latest videos we demostrate the problems that SCS will NOT fix. As a general rule, SCS has to be applied THICK. That is probably the reason SCS recommended you on the phone to buy another bottle, since the one you purchased from us was only the little 2oz size, barely enough to apply a 2nd time to a couple of panels. For better results and if the oxidation (and not 'deoxidation') is bad enough, SCS will be absorbed, therefore a 2nd coat will be required after the 48 hour drying period.
Lastly, please note that SCS is NOT comparable to ceramic coatings or to 'cut & buff'. Ceramic coatings are designed to protect the paint after a paint correction. Cutting and polishing the paint is performed in order to remove light scratches, swirl marks and correct light oxidation. SCS on the other hand is used to repair oxidation and restore the clear coat that the traditional cutting & polishing method cannot, since the clear coat is gone.
Please take a minute and browse through our IG channel for demonstrations and before/afters. Overall we would recommend you practice some more with SCS and give it another chance. As a Detailer, we are certain that you will find SCS plenty useful in many projects where the customer doesn't want to spent hundreds or thousands of dollars on a new paint job of an older vehicle. We would also recommend that in triple-digit AZ temperatures, you work in a shaded area early in the morning or evening, apply thick as mentioned earlier and allow those 48 hours before reapplying a 2nd coat.
Good luck and enjoy the SCS process.
Very Truly Yours,
Constantine

Shiny car stuff really does work as they show & explain in all product review videos. I watched many reviews on multiple platforms prior ordering the stuff. Eventually got a 20% off on 1st order via TikTok & got an 8 oz bottle. I applied the coat 2x and still have 1/2 bottle of the product. Other than this product, for self service, I also bought white rags paper on eBay & yellow car towels at Costco. There was a big bunch of them in a set but I only used 2 yellow towels for my car.
I have a 2008 Nissan Sentra. We never really did much to it except few fixes here and there up until I ruined the color & gloss coating on one really freezing winter in Philadelphia, PA. I didn’t know then what I know now. But you aren’t supposed to scrape the frozen ice with ice-scraper off your hood while the car is defrosting. Well I didn’t know (I’m a female). Lesson learned the hard way. Cuz once spring came I noticed my cars hood missing some black paint and gloss. Then with rain it wiped off more of color until my car hood almost completely looked aluminum grey.
My husband fixed the hood with black car paint from Walmart, but he didn’t do it the proper way (using sandpaper) also lesson learned. Regardless the black paint covered the blemishes while “shiny car stuff” gloss coating provided an amazing reflection to the sides and back.
Just as it mentions in tutorial videos & description, “shiny car stuff” does NOT fix chipped paint marks or dents in the metal but it does remove scratches and key marks. The shiny coat covers them completely.
Let me just say, maybe off the dealership when we first purchased our car it used to reflect sunshine, which was way, way, way long time ago. But with this product “shiny car stuff” my black 2008 Nissan Sentra is now like a mirror reflection & I can see myself reflecting very well in any angle of the car. I have 1 word to conclude my review, this stuff is A M A Z I N G!!!!
Car shiny stuff was advertised as a restorer to bring paint back by the manufacturer but sadly it does not do what was promised. car looks great and all but it does not cover up scratches or restore faded paint from sun damage on paint. it did make it look great but is not a miracle product as I was expecting. shotout to socal wax that they include paper towels to do the job correctly and I'll continue to get products from them
This is an easy product to apply and I am still finding new ways to utilize it. They have very good customer service and I am very happy with the product so far.
Thank you for your review, we extensivery tested Shiny Car Stuff prior to putting it on our store for sale!
